KHAOS Legal is led by Karol Halak and Patrycja Sobczak. The practice works with a network of trusted specialists, assembling the right expertise for each engagement.
Karol Halak has advised on capital-markets, private-equity and investment-fund matters, corporate compliance and tax for over a decade — running his own legal practice since 2019, with prior experience in international, Polish and boutique law firms and in fund legal-compliance roles in Warsaw and Amsterdam. He holds Master's degrees in Law (University of Warsaw) and Finance (SGH Warsaw School of Economics), studied international business law at The Catholic University of America, and is engaged in doctoral research on the regulation and taxation of blockchain technology.
Patrycja Sobczak is a legal-compliance and tax specialist — engaged in doctoral research in international tax law (treaty shopping) and holder of a Diploma in Taxation from the Malta Institute of Taxation. She spent over six years in investment-fund compliance in Amsterdam, most recently as a legal compliance manager, has served on a supervisory board, and has run her own legal practice.
